small victories

sheer excitement

this week is for small victories.

mathew started a new (and much better, I hope) job

i joined a meet up group for mamas who are entrepeneurs in my area…and happened to meet my neighbor across the way

i sold my first custom shirt to a client and made an awesome contact (must stop wanting to adopt clients as friends)

my 8 month old daughter is peeing in the toilet…and i don’t mean the plastic baby ones either

i’ve been blessed with kind people in my life lately

    • Definitely not potty training yet!! Just trying out “elimination communication”, mainly because I thought it was a crock. It’s not…who knew? It’s kind of amazing. I can sit her on the toilet and say “psssss…” and she’ll go. It’s supposed to make potty training easier and earlier.. Give it a google, it’s pretty interesting stuff.

  1. I hate diapers. I clothed diapered my kiddos. So I can totally understand potty training at a early age. I am called the recycling queen by my neighbors. Nothing gets thrown out. We even have a worm garden that we use. It is pretty cool!

  2. We use cloth as well — and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Since being back we’ve kind of fallen off the recycling wagon. I suppose it’s because it is so much harder to recycle here and it was pretty effortless in Oz. I was surrounded by lots of people who cared there…one time I got my head bit off by a lady on the bus for not using cloth bags at the grocery store! There isn’t as much passion for the environment where I am living at the moment. I can’t wait until we have a house and can have our own garden and those sorts of things! The word idea sounds great…but would have to be my husband’s project as worms are the one thing I am deathly afraid of. I literally lose my breath if I see them on the pavement after it has rained — crazy, I know.

  3. I Live in the states. I live in Oregon. Oregon is one of the top 3 states, that has less pollution. We are also at the top for states that recycle the most.
